Defendant, Steven Cooley, appeals his conviction following a jury trial in which he acted as his own attorney. Defendant claims the trial court's failure to warn him of the dangers of self representation rendered his waiver of the Sixth Amendment right to counsel unknowing and unintelligent, thereby resulting in an infringement of his rights as guaranteed by the United States Constitution.
