Defendant-Appellant Dennis Carlson (the debtor) voluntarily filed a petition for bankruptcy relief under Chapter 11 on April 16, 1996. Two months later, he converted his bankruptcy petition to one for relief under Chapter 7, at which point plaintiff-appellee William Brandt, Jr. was appointed to serve as the Trustee in the case. Brandt filed a three-count adversary complaint against Carlson in the bankruptcy...
