Conseco Finance Servicing Corp. loaned Jody Grams money to purchase a manufactured home. When Jody and his wife, Candace, sued Conseco for violations of the Texas Debt Collection Act and the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, Conseco invoked an arbitration clause contained in the sales contract. Respondent, Judge of the 82 nd District Court, denied Conseco's motion to compel arbitration, and Conseco brings this mandamus proceeding...
