WITTIG, Justice.

More than a dozen Harris County deputies descended on Antonio Rico Torrez's home in a raid reminiscent of vigilantes. With emergency lights flashing, weapons drawn, they entered Torrez's yard and house without a warrant. The state argues today for us to extend the exigent circumstances or emergency doctrine. We, however, find unreasonable this intrusive police search at appellant's brother's wake. Accordingly, we decline...
