At trial, a man was found not guilty due to insanity. At a subsequent involuntary commitment proceeding, it was determined that he was mentally ill and that he met the criteria for involuntary commitment. He was ordered confined to a hospital for inpatient treatment. By two issues, he appeals the finding of mental illness. He claims that his rights were violated because the expert appointed for the hearing was not independent and...
