On this appeal, defendant Lee Peng Fei (Lee) challenges his conviction for seaman's manslaughter and his sentence for misconduct causing the deaths of six aliens attempting to enter the United States illegally. Lee orchestrated and financed the transportation of 300 undocumented Chinese nationals to this country in a cargo ship called the Golden Venture that carried them from Mombasa, Kenya...
