At her deposition on August 17, 1991, plaintiff testified that, on October 15, 1988, she was a passenger in a taxicab, which was involved in an intersection collision with another vehicle. She was taken to the emergency room at St. Vincent's Hospital immediately following the accident, where she was examined, her neck was X-rayed and she was given a diagnosis of whiplash and contusions. Plaintiff then stayed in bed at home for about five days after which she returned to work...
