OPINION

MEYERS, J., delivered the unanimous opinion of the Court.

A jury convicted appellant of the misdemeanor offense of criminal trespass of a habitation. See TEX. PENAL CODE ANN. § 30.05(a) (Vernon 1994). As a result, he was sentenced to one year community supervision and assessed a $4,000 fine. As a condition of his community supervision, the trial court ordered appellant to pay $10,000 in restitution. Appellant appealed the restitution...
