On June 19, 1998, Brierly Stafford traveled southbound on Highway 71 in Cass County, Missouri. Kenneth Kite, driving his vehicle northbound in the southbound lanes, collided head on with Stafford's vehicle. As a result of the accident, Stafford suffered multiple injuries and incurred medical expenses in excess of $22,000. Stafford's passenger died of his injuries...
