The verdict was based on legally sufficient evidence and was not against the weight of the evidence. With respect to the attempted murder conviction, defendant's homicidal intent was clearly established by the "combat stance" that defendant took while carefully aiming at the officers and firing at least two shots, and the fact that he hit the van behind which they had taken cover. With respect to the robbery, there is no basis upon which to disturb the jury's determinations...
