In this slip and fall case, Gail Barnett-Holdgraf appeals the district court's granting of summary judgment in favor of Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York (Mutual Life). She argues the district court erred in applying the slight defect rule and that the evidence does not support a decision in favor of Mutual Life under the rule.
