Carl Thompson was convicted of murder in the first degree for killing his ex-wife, Dixie Gutman, and convicted of tampering with physical evidence by disposing of her body. We affirmed Thompson's conviction in Thompson v. State.1 In that 1989 decision, we remanded Thompson's case for resentencing. The superior court amended Thompson's sentence on June 1, 1989.
