Defendant appeals a judgment of conviction for possession of a controlled substance. ORS 475.992(4). He assigns error to the trial court's denial of his motion to suppress evidence obtained in violation of a provision of the Josephine County Charter, which forbids police to search private property without prior written consent or a search warrant.
