This case is a good example of the typical thicket of claims and arguments that can flourish from a pro se prisoner's understandable effort to save his complaint from doom. Surprisingly, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico Department of Justice, in representing defendants Gladys Rivera Correa and José L. Maldonado, has contributed to thicken this thicket.
