In this case, former deputies and detention officers with the El Paso County Sheriff's Department allege that Sheriff Leo Samaniego retaliated against them for filing workers' compensation claims.1 They are joined by their Sheriff's Deputies' Association in appealing from a summary judgment favoring El Paso County Sheriff Leo Samaniego and El Paso County.
