Mr. Lewis G. Champagne suffered fatal injuries in a collision on April 20, 1996. He was driving a pickup truck owned by his business. The surviving widow and sons, Mrs. Ruby A. Champagne, Lewis G. Champagne, II, and Leland J. Champagne, sued various parties.
