On January 13, 2000, the trial court sentenced the appellant as a habitual violent felony offender to 30 years in prison with a 15-year minimum mandatory. The appellant appealed his judgment and conviction on January 21, 2000. That appeal is currently pending; however, on February 18, 2000, the appellant filed a rule 3.800(a) motion challenging his designation as a habitual violent felony offender.
