CR-99-1116.

808 So.2d 1220 (2000)

Ex parte J.Z.S. (In re State of Alabama v. J.Z.S.).

Court of Criminal Appeals of Alabama.

May 12, 2000.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

James H. Roberts and Robert V. Wooldridge III, Tuscaloosa, for petitioner.

Bill Pryor, atty. gen., and James B. Prude, asst. atty. gen., for respondent.

LONG, Presiding Judge.

The petitioner, J.Z.S., filed this petition for a writ of mandamus requesting that we direct Judge L. Scott Coogler, circuit judge for the Sixth Judicial Circuit, to transfer J.Z.S.'s case to the juvenile court. This case has a long and convoluted procedural history. In August 1998, J.Z.S. was indicted for leaving the scene of an accident that had resulted in injury to another person, a violation of § 32-10-2, Ala.Code 1975.
