The plaintiff, Amy Haring, sued the defendant, Robin Stinson, seeking damages for reimbursement for certain expenses she allegedly incurred in improving Ms. Stinson's house and for certain expenses she incurred after a failed attempt by the parties to enter into a joint venture for the operation of a "cattery" business.
