OPINION

ZAPPALA, Justice.

The issue before this Court is whether the Superior Court properly affirmed the trial court's judgment of non pros in the Appellants' medical malpractice action. We reverse.

Susan Fancsali was born on July 16, 1992. Shortly after her birth, she suffered from hypoxia and encephalopathy and contracted Group B Streptococcus. On July 6, 1994, Paul and Kimberlee Fancsali, Susan's parents, filed a praecipe for writ of summons...
