Dennis Davis appeals his convictions for carrying a concealed firearm and for trafficking by possession of cocaine. At trial he moved for judgment of acquittal on both charges, contending that the evidence was legally insufficient for conviction. Mr. Davis was arrested after extensive nighttime surveillance of his activities. Because it was dark and because the arresting officers were limited in what they could observe, there was no direct evidence...
