The defendant, Damond Lockett, was charged by bill of information with possession of cocaine, in violation of Louisiana Revised Statute 40:967(C). He pled not guilty and, after trial by jury, was found guilty as charged. The state filed a habitual offender bill of information and, after a hearing, the defendant was adjudicated a second felony habitual offender.
