On January 3, 1996, defendant-appellant, Terrence S. Bowen, was found not guilty by reason of insanity on two counts of attempted child stealing. Based upon medical evaluations and other evidence presented to the trial court, Bowen was found to be a mentally ill person subject to hospitalization by court order.
