Defendant, Richard Petty, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI) (625 ILCS 5/11-501(a)(2) (West 1998)) and failing to signal (625 ILCS 5/11-804(a) (West 1998)). The State appeals the trial court's order granting defendant's motion to quash the arrest and suppress evidence.
