The defendant, Ronald Joe Jefferson, was originally charged with aggravated burglary. Following a bench trial, the trial court convicted Jefferson of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, a violation of La. R.S. 14:62.3. After adjudicating defendant a second felony offender, the trial court sentenced Jefferson to three years imprisonment at hard labor.
