This appeal arises from a breach of contract action filed by Joseph Nelson against Allstate Insurance Company. Nelson contends that the trial court erred in permitting Allstate to raise a new defense on the morning of trial, contrary to the terms of the pretrial order, and in granting Allstate's post-verdict motion to amend the judgment.
