Isabell Spindler, as personal representative of the estate of Arthur H. Spindler, sued The Oaks at Seven Rivers Community Hospital and Dr. Mercedes Brito-Deforge in a wrongful death/medical malpractice action. The claim arose from the suicide death of Spindler's husband, Arthur H. Spindler, who hanged himself with a belt from the closing arm of a bathroom door in his hospital room. Dr. Brito-Deforge was his admitting psychiatrist.
