Christopher Farmer pled guilty in the Leflore County Circuit Court to aggravated assault and was sentenced to a term of twenty years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC). After Farmer sought relief under the Uniform Post-Conviction Collateral Relief Act, Miss.Code Ann. § 99-39-1 et seq.
