HOLLAND, Justice:

The defendant-appellant, Curtis L. Demby, was indicted for the crimes of Murder in the First Degree and Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony ("PFDCF"). Following a 1998 jury trial in the Superior Court, Demby was found guilty as charged.1 This was Demby's second trial on these charges. Demby's convictions in his first trial were reversed on appeal.
