The Jefferson Parish District Attorney filed a bill on information charging the defendant, Joseph Petty, with one count of simple burglary in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:62. The matter proceeded to trial before a six person jury, at the conclusion of which the defendant was found guilty as charged.
