DANA, J.

[¶ 1] Elsie Sawyer appeals from a judgment entered in the Penobscot County Probate Court (Woodcock, J.) dismissing on the basis of laches her claim for past due child support against the estate of her former husband, Malcolm Sawyer. Because Elsie failed to file a petition for allowance or commence a proceeding against the estate within 60 days of the claim's disallowance, as required by 18-A M.R.S.A. § 3-806(a), we affirm.
