The plaintiff, John O. Schofield, Inc. (Schofield), is Stephen Wilson's assignee and successor in interest. Schofield claims that defendant Sam H. Nikkel orally agreed to convey to Wilson an interest in all oil and gas leases acquired in an area known as the Boulder Field Unit (Boulder Field) in exchange for Wilson's geological services.
