If a court fails to order restitution within the initial 180 days after judgment and sentence as required under RCW 9.94A.142(1), the Department of Labor and Industries (Department) may petition the court for entry of an order of restitution within one year of judgment and sentence under the exception contained in RCW 9.94A.142(4).
