The Jefferson Parish District Attorney filed a bill of information charging defendant, Trohne Jones, with possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, cocaine. LSA-R.S. 14:95 E. The matter proceeded to trial before a twelve person jury at the conclusion of which defendant was found guilty as charged. The court thereafter sentenced defendant to five years imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation...
