Wilburn Sloan appeals the Limestone Circuit Court's dismissal of his petition for a writ of habeas corpus. The petition challenged his February 23, 1998, guilty plea conviction in Morgan County for first-degree robbery. This court affirmed Sloan's conviction, without an opinion, on direct appeal. Sloan v.
