Derek M. Jackson was charged by bill of information on 5 October 1998 with possession of cocaine, a violation of La. R.S. 40:967(C)(2). He pled not guilty at his arraignment on 8 October 1998. Following a hearing on 28 October 1998, the trial court found probable cause and denied Jackson's motion to suppress the evidence.
