SCHMISSEUR, J.:

Michael B. Sharp appeals his conviction by a jury of endangering a child. We reverse and remand for a new trial.

On June 13, 1999, at about 3:30 a.m., Sharp returned to an apartment he shared with his girlfriend, Kristin Lockwood, after a night of shooting pool.
