On November 18, 1994, John Bass, the defendant was charged by bill of information with simple burglary in violation of La. R.S. 14:62. He was arraigned November 28, 1994, and pled not guilty. On May 17, 1995, the trial court denied the motion for appointment of a sanity commission. Bass was found guilty of attempted simple burglary on May 17, 1995 in violation of La. R.S. 14:27(62).
