This consolidated appeal arises from two cases heard in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City: a civil paternity suit and a criminal non-support of minor child suit. The appellant in both cases, Kaven T. Miles, was married to Francine Stovall, appellee, when Stovall gave birth to Brandon Miles in January 1984.
