On December 4, 1997, defendant Darryl G. Morgason and George Anthony were charged with two counts of first-degree murder (720 ILCS 5/9-1(a)(1), (2) (West 1996)) and one count of conspiracy to commit murder (720 ILCS 5/8-2(a) (West 1996)).
