Kendrick James Johnson was indicted in count 1 with armed robbery, a violation of La. R.S. 14:64, in counts 2 and 3 with attempted second degree murder, a violation of La. R.S. 14:27 and 14:30.1, and in count 4 with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a violation of La. R.S. 14:95.1. Prior to trial, the court severed count 4, and the state eventually dismissed that count. Following trial by jury, defendant was found guilty as charged in counts...
