Marie Aquilino filed suit against the University of Kansas, seeking relief under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. § 2000e et seq. as amended. She alleged that because of her sex, the university refused to promote her to Associate Professor and to award tenure. She also alleged that because she had filed a sex discrimination charge with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission...
