This matter arises from an alleged false arrest/false imprisonment claim brought by a plaintiff who was arrested by the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office on August 6, 1996, and subsequently transferred to the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center where he was held until August 9, 1996.
