By bill of information dated December 14, 1998, Alfred Smith and Melissa Lazard were each charged with one count of being in possession of a dangerous weapon while in possession of cocaine and with one count of possession of more than 28 grams, but less than 200 grams, of cocaine; and, they both pleaded not guilty. The trial court denied their motion to suppress the evidence; and they filed an emergency writ application...
