INTRODUCTION

¶ 1. Attorney Clencie L. Cotton represented Phyllis Evans in a personal injury case arising out of an automobile accident, and this case was eventually settled. From the settlement money, Cotton deducted both his attorney's fee and the amount of Evans medical bills, and disbursed the rest to Evans. Thereafter, Cotton failed to pay the medical bills, and Evans' medical provider sued her to collect payment...
