Defendant was indicted on 10 February 1997 for first degree murder and first degree burglary. The victim was defendant's grandmother, who was "sickly and weak" and "didn't put up a fight" according to defendant's girlfriend, Rebecca Ann DeLouise (DeLouise), who was present during the crimes. Defendant was convicted of both offenses and was sentenced on 20 May 1998 to life imprisonment without parole for first degree murder under the felony murder rule...
