This appeal emerges from a procedural morass that began with appellant Charlotte Ann Plotner's 1992 bankruptcy proceedings. As a threshold matter, we examine the effect of Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays on "compound" filing deadlines—i.e., filing deadlines consisting of an initial period subject to a finite extension.
