The underlying dispute arose in 1990, when Michelle Frantz ("Frantz"), a sales manager for Johnson Business Machines ("JBM"), a Las Vegas distributor of plastic gaming cards, decided to seek employment with JBM's card manufacturer, Plastic Graphics, Inc.
