STATEMENT OF THE CASE

On 28 November 1996, the Orleans Parish Grand Jury indicted Michael Williams, along with his sister, Betty Lawrence, and her son, Alvin Lawrence, on a charge of second degree murder of Richard Duskin, a violation of La.R.S. 14:30.1 Williams, through retained counsel, entered a plea of not guilty on 24 February 1997.
