REINHARDT, Circuit Judge:

To decide this petition we must first determine the extent to which recent immigration statutes limit the jurisdiction of federal courts to consider challenges to removal orders brought by aliens who are removable because they committed certain criminal offenses. We hold that jurisdiction by way of petition for review of removal orders no longer exists, but that habeas jurisdiction remains. In doing so, we follow the Third Circuit's decision...
